These pages are my record of successes and failures with musical instruments; my purely personal views on what I find while renovating old instruments; my problems, and maybe some suggestions born of finding out the answers to questions put to me.
Sooner or later I sell the instruments I have refurbished to buy different ones.
I started with an interest just in clarinets, mainly the bigger ones, but as time has gone by, saxophones have wriggled their way in as well, and some flutes have happened along on the side - appropriate for flutes!
I first wrote the pages in HTML 3.0 so that almost every browser could read them, and kept everything simple to make them fast and straightforward.
Now nearly everyone can display frames and they make the presentation so much neater, although I hate those sites that put one sentence at a time on a page. (Ever filled in your tax return online? You know what I mean.)
So my pages will appear in a civilized way I hope, even if the content may be less so.
The Menu should stay in view all the time so you can jump about as much as you like without getting lost.
Extracting subjects from the continuous format has made much more space available so some sections are sparse at the moment. I had been deleting older stuff to keep the pages down in size and new visitors were denied the privilege of reading pearls from the past. Of course older is no different from newer in this context so in future the old stuff can stay. (Good news, I'm old stuff myself.)
